Frank Haviland
Thai Royal Palace
Porcelaine de Limoges

This compote is an extremely rare piece from the 1920s. The transfer is the Official Seal of the King of Thailand, and its use is strictly regulated. The porcelain is absolutely perfect. The piece has been identified as being from the Official Service of the King of Thailand, and was probably illegally removed from the Thai Royal Palace during World War II, a very risky undertaking. Prior to 1950, unauthorized possession of items bearing the Official Seal of the King of Thailand was a capital crime punishable by immediate execution without trial. The transfer was misidentified as being that of Buddha in the eBay Germany auction listing.
